  • How should I prepare for my lip filler appointment?

    • Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for 48 hours prior—these can increase the risk of bruising.

    • Stay well-hydrated and eat a light meal before your visit.

    • Arrive with clean skin—no makeup or skincare products on the lips or surrounding area.

Can I get lip fillers if I have a cold sore?

No. Please reschedule your appointment if you have an active cold sore. If you’re prone to outbreaks, notify us in advance—we may recommend antiviral medication as a preventive measure.

Should I take anything before my appointment to help with swelling or bruising?

You may take arnica supplements 1–2 days before and after your treatment to help reduce bruising and swelling (optional, but helpful).

Can I get lip fillers the same day as an event or trip?

It’s not recommended. Swelling and bruising are common, so it’s best to schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks, most preferably 4 weeks, before any major event or travel.

What if I’ve had lip filler before?

Please let us know in advance. We’ll evaluate the current filler and recommend the best plan for enhancing or maintaining your results.

    Important Considerations

    • Filler injections are contraindicated for individuals who are pregnant, and not recommended in those breastfeeding, or that have certain medical conditions. If you are feeling unwell, it’s best to reschedule your appointment.

  • What to Expect:

    • Swelling and tenderness are normal and most noticeable in the first 24–48 hours.

    • Minor bruising, firmness, or asymmetry may occur as the filler settles.

    • Full results are typically visible within 7–14 days.

    Aftercare Instructions:

    • Avoid touching or massaging the lips unless instructed.

    • Do not apply makeup on or near the lips for at least 24 hours.

    • Avoid alcohol, salty foods, and excessive heat (hot drinks, saunas, intense workouts) for 24–48 hours.

    • Sleep on your back with your head elevated the first night to minimize swelling.

    • Use a cold compress gently if needed for swelling (no direct ice).

    • Hydrate well and use a gentle, nourishing lip balm, such as arnica, to support healing.

    When to Contact Us:

    • If you experience severe pain, increasing redness, white patches, or signs of infection, contact us immediately.

    • We recommend a follow-up appointment or check-in 2 weeks after treatment to ensure optimal results.

  • How do lip fillers work?

Lip fillers use hyaluronic acid-based formulas to enhance volume, shape, and hydration in the lips. The results can be subtle or fuller depending on your goals.

    Is it safe?

Yes. Lip fillers are FDA-approved and safe when injected by a trained professional. We use premium products to ensure natural, balanced results.

    Does it hurt?

A numbing agent is applied before treatment, and most fillers contain lidocaine to reduce discomfort. You may feel mild pressure or a pinch.

    Are there any side effects?

Temporary swelling, tenderness, and bruising are common. Lips may feel firm or uneven at first but soften as they heal. Serious side effects are rare.

What should I expect after the procedure?

Swelling is most noticeable in the first 24–48 hours and gradually decreases over a few days. Full results settle in about 1–2 weeks. Avoid kissing, makeup, heat, and strenuous activity for 24 hours post-treatment.
